First, the American cable giant Comcast under its boss Brian Roberts has won the bidding

war for the British pay TV broadcast to Sky.

The final bid left a rival offer from Fox in the dust and valued Sky at £30.6 billion.

Sky shareholders now have until October 11th to accept the offer.
