I understand the frustrations about allowing 24 points by UAB. I get that. 26 points to Syracuse, 41 points to Georgia, 24 points to UAB, 17 points to ETSU.

This is not the defensive statistical showing that I or I don't think anybody was expecting coming into this season.

Now, shoulda coulda what I get it. Game doesn't wait for nobody. I understand that, but nobody thought that Ricky Gibson was going to be missing extended time. And again, he's not going to be seen again this year on the football field for Tennessee. Jamal McCoy, of course, we knew he was going to be out for the first portion of the season. Didn't expect David Hobbs to miss so much time. Jackson Moy to miss so much time.

You're missing some key pieces on the defensive side of the football that I think really

helps kind of stabilize what this is.
