one story in the last 24 hours as it pertains to florida state football and florida state sports

and that is freshman linebacker ethan pritchard who was a victim of gun violence last night

sunday night in havana florida as he was visiting family we do want to give you the latest as we

know it on

Ethan Pritchard right here and managing editor Irish O'Fell, who led the way, releasing the story

on War Chant last night. I wanted to ask you, sir, you know, background on what you've learned,

how you learned it, and then obviously what the latest is from a Florida state and anybody

surrounding the Pritchard family.

Yeah, you know, obviously, you know, the word spread around the football program late last night.

It happened late last night over in Havana, Florida.

And then, you know, words started spreading on social media.

And then, you know, we all started calling some people and talking to people last night and uh you know just awful situation sounds like wrong place wrong time uh it sounds like from everything we've heard uh Ethan Pritcher was not he wasn't involved in any incident he wasn't the target of the incident it was a mistaken um situation just an unfortunate, tragic situation. And he was shot.

And he was transported to hospital in Tallahassee, which is great that they were able to do that.

He got much better care than he would have, you know, Havana, Florida is a rural community.

It's not that far away. So they were able to get him to Tallahassee. And,

you know, Mike Norvell was with him in the family late last night. He's from Sanford, Florida,

but they had family in town as well. And so I think they were able to get some family there quickly.

And then Mike Norvell was at the hospital through the wee hours of the morning.
