First quarter especially, but most of the first half, the defense played at such a high level.

Did you have a feeling that how dialed in they were going into the game based on the preparation,

even before the first time?

Yeah, I felt good about the whole week of preparation.

I felt good about the answers that we knew we would have.

I felt really good about the plan, and you know, it was just about execution,

you know. It was a high energy game, so you just, you get worried about eyes in the wrong place, and, you know, on defense, you can play really good, and all of a sudden, one guy gets his eyes the wrong place, and next to you know, it's an 80-yard drive, play, and everybody thinks you're playing horrendous. So, you know, I did feel good about everything going into it. I thought those first

things in it that I thought weren't perfect, but I thought the effort overcame those. But, you know,

we started the game out really fast.

Adam, the third down stop you guys had at the end of the game to get the offense, the ball back, the energy and the effort, whether it's Jermaine going across the fit.

He used to speak to the effort that was shown on that play how important it was to bring that moment.

And I go back. Friday, we're practicing, and we run whatever, naked out-of-pocket play.

And Germain sprints 20 yards on Friday at 9.30

the morning to chase the guy down.

And we had other guys leverage in it.

But I paused in my office as I watched it.

And it just makes you feel, OK, the training's there. And it wasn't because I said, on this play, I want your best. No, that's just how we have to practice. And so I think that went into it. But, you know, Kaelan was right there. Duke was right there. Germain finished it up. You know, it was a critical play. It was a really good point in time.
