This past weekend we've been dealing with the continuing fallout from the attempted

coup that Trump and various Republicans incited last week. Remember that one?

As of this recording there have been 87 arrests made with the FBI on the hunt for

participants across the country.

It's been reported that Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy has opened at least 25 domestic

terrorism cases as a result. There's also been one more death of a police officer

reported this weekend it was an off-duty death by suicide. I'm sure you're all

wondering where Congress is taking this and if Trump will actually experience

any consequences.

As of now, he hasn't, though over 250 lawmakers have called for his removal either by resignation or the impeachment process.

So far, the only Republicans who have made particularly strong statements are

Senators Pat Toomey and Lisa Murkowski with Murkowski actually calling

into question her future as a Republican. That's the energy we need except like not

nearly enough of it. House Democrats are now giving Pence 24 hours to invoke the

25th Amendment before they begin the impeachment process.

The current draft of the Articles of impeachment include one charge of incitement of

insurrection and we should definitely have more information on the impeachment process

tomorrow.

A big question that came up over the weekend was regarding the lack of

preparation by the police despite warnings.
