How should Christians relate to their “bosses,” and what attitude should a Christian “boss” have toward those who work for him?

The Bible has a whole lot to say about what your attitude should be when you go to work.

Whether you're the worker with the lowest minimum wage job or whether you're the boss and the CEO of the company.

1:48.1

And that is there was institutional slavery back in those days. Now, it wasn't the kind of slavery

1:57.1

that maybe you and I as Americans would think about as we think about chattel slavery

2:02.7

back in, you know, the dark chapter of our own American history, when, you know, slavery was

2:11.8

legal, horribly, a horrible thing. And so grateful that that is in our rearview mirror. But here in the Roman

2:23.2

Empire, one out of every five people in the Roman Empire were slaves. So if there were 50 million

2:31.0

people in the Roman Empire, I mean, think about that. Then there were 10 million

2:35.7

slaves, up to 10 million. And a lot of it just had to do with prisoners of war. There was no

particular race or type of person that could be a slave. It was just happen to be sometimes your impoverished condition,
