It's Monday, February 6th, and this is your morning wire afternoon update.

Residents in East Palestine, Ohio, who live within 1-2 miles of the train tracks, were told

to evacuate their homes this morning due to a raging fire caused by a catastrophic Norfolk

Southern train derailment that was carrying hazardous materials on Friday.

These plant to release toxic chemicals into the air from the 5-d rail tanker cars that

are in danger of exploding, telling residents near the Ohio Pennsylvania state line to leave

immediately or face the possibility of death.

Ohio Governor Mike DuWine ordered evacuations in the area of the derailment that has been

smoldering since Friday night.

The vinyl chloride contents of 5 rail cars are currently unstable and could potentially

explode causing deadly disbursement of shrapnel and toxic fumes.

To alleviate the risk of this shrapnel, North Southern Railroad is planning a controlled

release of the vinyl chloride at approximately 330 pm.

The controlled release of the toxic chemicals also has the potential to be deadly if and

hail.

Turkey and Syria were rocked by two earthquakes within the past 24 hours, which reached

7.8 and 7.5 on the Richter scale.

Thousands are trapped in the wreckage with more than 2,300 killed so far, a number that

is expected to rise.

A spokesperson for the Syrian Civil Defense is calling on world powers for help.
