Like, what do the rats want to have their first kid? I know. And then they're not by choice. They're on birth control and they can't have their kid. Rats are prolific breeders with a gestation period of 21 to 23 days. A female rat can become pregnant every four to five days when in heat and become pregnant again within 48 hours of giving birth. Yeah, see, it happens fast. Females reach maturity at 8 to 12 weeks, meaning they can start breeding very quickly. Dang. So, yeah, now they're going to just think they're eating a little snack and it's going to be... They're not being killed. Birth control. Although, although they're rats. Well, they don't want to kill the rats. Because there are good things that rats do. It's part of the ecosystem. Exactly. That's why they just want to limit the births. And so I don't know. It just was interesting to me. |
| 2:01.1 | So not all the poison. |
| 2:02.7 | Okay. |
| 2:03.0 | So some of them will still have their babies. Yes. Because not every rat is going to get the bait. But it's just to control the population. And I don't know. I just had never heard of anything like this before. And I was like, wow. It's interesting. Picturing the meeting where that happened. like how about we give them birth control. |
