Today I try to break down the almost hour by hour day by day timeline of that whole Facebook slash

social media ad boycott situation. Apple might not include a charger in the

iPhone 12 box, much less earbuds. Amazon cuts back on waste in India,

while India cuts off Tik-Tok completely.

And some news you can use if you need to recover lost files and windows.

Here's what you miss today in the world of tech. This is another one of those things where this

literally just broke so I'll tell you what I can now but the headline here is

that Reddit has banned the subreddit R slash the Donald as well as 200 other communities today after updating its content policy to more explicitly ban hate speech, quoting the verge.

I have to admit that I've struggled with balancing my values as an American and around

free speech and free expression with my values and the company's values around common

human decency,

Reddit CEO Steve Huffman said in a call with reporters.

In a blog post that cites the company's new rules,

Huffman said users of the R slash the Donald

subreddit had violated the site's policies for years.

The site has no official connection to President Donald Trump, although he did do and

ask me anything there as a candidate in 2016.

The community has consistently hosted and up voted more rule-breaking content than average.
