From the front lines of the mom wars, here's Bethany Mandel and Kara Kennedy.

Hello and welcome to another episode of your favorite podcast. I am your co-host, Bethany Mandel.

Sadly, I am still not joined by my regular co-host Kara, who has this perfect excuse of the

mom wars that she had a baby.

And so she's still abandoned me. But I am joined by one of my favorite people these days.

I can't believe she's taking the time to sit down and talk with us today because she's

traversing the whole country talking about her best-selling new book.

Joined by Representative Elise Daphonic from my home state of New York, and she is the author of the bestselling book, Poisoned Ivy's. It came out, I think, a week ago, right? Yes, it did. Poisoned to Ivies, it's a bestseller and just great, great interest in this book across the country. Yeah, yeah. And so I reviewed it for the New York Post.

I think a week ago, we had a long sit-down conversation, and then you're spending even more

time with me, which is crazy, but I love it. So I want to get into a little bit, first off,

because I just am so fascinated. We have, we have kids who are about the same age. I think your son is

four. Yes. First of all, it's embarrassing to me

that I haven't accomplished pretty much nothing in my life in comparison because we're basically

the same age. How have you managed to be the highest ranking woman in Congress and also the mother

of a young child? And you had to go through the whole pregnancy and everything.

How did you get to this point?

Well, first of all, Bethany, you have been tremendous in terms of your leadership and what you've

accomplished, not only this podcast, but all of your effective advocacy on Capitol Hill.

The body of work that you have published has been just amazing.

So I've watched you from afar and I know that it is a

juggle for every mom as they work to prioritize their family as well as continue to achieve and grow
