I've owned dogs my entire adult life, and about 2 years ago I decided it was time to get a puppy.

They have been very involved in his care and training since we got him, so they're really bonded to him.

Unfortunately, this puppy, who's now almost 2, has had chronic health issues that are progressive.

We're struggling to even get him stable at this point.

His chronic health issues have taken a toll on my ability to do my job, be an engaged parent, and be a good human.

My mental health and confidence have taken a huge hit, so is my checkbook.
