Hey, Rob Maower, here, and this will be a pretty short episode.

Hey everybody, Rob Maower here, and this will be a pretty short episode.

0:10.0

Not a whole lot going on today, but we do have some news on model Y

0:13.4

and model 3 as well as an update on the fire situation in California as some of

0:18.0

those evacuations have happened relatively close to Fremont so we'll check in

0:20.9

on that other than that I'm spending most of today

0:23.4

prepping for tomorrow's episode. We'll start here with the fires I have gotten some

0:27.0

questions on if these California fires would potentially impact Tesla's

0:30.8

operations at their Fremont factory.

0:32.8

So if we look at a map and we look at where the fires are occurring,

0:35.8

where the evacuation orders and warnings are,

0:38.4

we can see that that is happening relatively close to Fremont

0:40.7

0:54.5

evacuation warning to Fremont runs up against Interstate 680 so that acts as

0:59.6

a nice barrier a fire protectant for Tesla's operations there.

1:03.6

So there should be no concern, at least as far as operating the factory goes.

1:07.6

Now if we think about the workforce, obviously some of them may live in these areas that

1:11.0

are under evacuation orders or warnings, but I'm sure Tesla will figure out a way to manage through things like that.

1:17.0

And some of these evacuation warnings are already being lifted, for example, about an hour ago, the warning for Santa Clara County which is just

1:24.1

south of Fremont Alameda County was lifted. So obviously unfortunate

1:28.2

circumstances but I don't expect a material impact to Tesla's operations from
