| 0:00.0 | Hey there, everybody. It is Wednesday, July 20th, 2022. Welcome to the NFL Fantasy football podcast, where we're still getting into game shape. |
| 0:19.6 | It's me, your man, M.G. Marcus Grant. Michael F. Florio is away on vacation, hopefully enjoying his last little bit of summer vacation before we get going for real. |
| 0:29.0 | Hopefully, not hanging out with Leonard Fornet. Although, I don't really care about whatever kind of weight that the Florio comes to camp in. |
| 0:38.0 | You do you, Mike. We'll see you real soon. A little bit of a different show. We do have producer Randy hanging out with us, but we got a whole mess of people. |
| 0:46.0 | Just a quick bit of housekeeping here, right? We are getting started pretty much pretty soon. Obviously, training camp is coming up. You can look for some NFL fantasy live shows. |
| 0:59.0 | We will be doing our preseason show starting on August 15th. We'll be doing a run of six shows over the course of two weeks, so you can check us out there. Of course, we'll still be doing the podcast. |
| 1:09.0 | Also, for today, we are going to do kind of an impromptu mock draft, so I have help with help rounded up some folks here in the building, some of the specialists, some of the people whose names that you may or may not know if you listen to this show regularly. |
| 1:24.0 | We're going to get on NFL.com, and we're going to do a 10 team mock draft, because hey, why the heck not, right? The drafts are open, drafts are open in NFL.com. It is fantasy draft season, so it seemed like a good time to get together and do a mock. |
| 1:40.0 | Alright, so let me run down this draft order real quick. We've got seven people from inside the building. I think we have a couple of just random internet strangers who are joining us too, so I apologize for not mentioning your name, random internet stranger. |
| 1:51.0 | But at number one pick, we've got Aaron Tan, who works with us in the fantasy content department near and chata, who is our beloved fantasy intern. I take old blue, but the USC is part of the big 10 now, so screw that. |
| 2:03.0 | And number three, Justin Graver, you know him as the grave digger, formerly producer Justin on this show, Christie Stapleson, one of the lead specialists here who help us out. |
| 2:10.0 | She's at number four, Heitham Kalani is at five, Randy Chavez, you know him as producer Randy is at six. I'm sending it number seven, and then number eight, again, random internet stranger number one. |
| 2:20.0 | Number nine, it looks like it's going to be potentially auto picked at number two, and internet stranger number two. So we are off and running. It is a 30 second clock. |
| 2:27.0 | We are going with our standard scoring, which is PPR at NFL dot com and 10 team lead, who's many rounds as we think are viable. So the first pick is off the board. It is no surprise Jonathan Taylor. |
| 2:40.0 | Derek Henry goes number two to Niren, which I think he did just despite Justin Graver, who was a notorious Tennessee Titans fan. So that's the first two picks off the board. |
| 2:52.0 | There are no real surprises there so far, but it's number three is Justin Graver. So now he's I'm sure scrambling a little bit, and he goes Austin Eckler at three thousand cook goes at number four to Christie. |
| 3:05.0 | So that puts Heitham on the clock. I know he wants to take a Chicago bear, but it feels a little bit early for Justin fields right now. So I think he's going to do not do that instead. |
| 3:14.0 | He's going to go with Joe Nixon. So now that we've got nothing but running backs off the board. Nick Chubb goes at number six to Randy Chavez, which means I will gladly take Cooper cup and say thank you for that one. |
| 3:28.0 | So we go with six running backs off the board to start with before we get our first wide receiver. Now we have random internet stranger number one. I think I'm going to just call that person risk risk one and then risk two. |
| 3:42.0 | So down to 10 seconds left. Again, 30 second clock here, which by the way, I'm sort of in favor of doing more drafts with shortened clocks because I think it forces you to really sort of believe in your priors and figure out who you really like a lot. |
| 3:57.0 | That rinset random internet stranger has bailed on us. So now it's going to be an auto pick, but it's not nice. He Harris goes at eight. Alvin Camara goes at number nine. So he slides into the back part of the first round. |
| 4:07.0 | Even though we know there's some uncertainty there with Alvin Camaran, what his availability might be to start the season. Justin Jefferson now rounds out the first rounds, only two wide receivers in the first round, but Davante Adam starts the second. |
