Good morning and thanks for joining me for Rise and Crime. Your morning caffeine hit,

All About Crime. I'm Mama Jules, and today I'm bringing you a story that some people thought was settled.

Now, the families of the victims weren't really satisfied with how it all turned out, so they didn't think it was settled.

But for the public, I would guess most people thought this case was complete.

Well, now we have some bad decisions, and it made it not complete.

And we are revisiting the deaths of three young people in Lincoln County, Missouri.

Early on Sunday morning, so roughly about 4 a.m., Haley Zink was driving her four friends home after a night of partying. This all happened on February 5th of 2023. As she recklessly sped down South Chantilly Road, driving about 80 miles per hour

in a 35 mile per hour zone. Haley's 2008 Ford Focus careened off the road, hit a tree,

and landed upside down. 17-year-old Haley survived the crash and was life-flighted to the hospital.

But what about her four friends?

18-year-old Will Flicking or Jr., 15-year-old Kaden Tyler, and 17-year-old Emily McNeese were pronounced dead at the scene.

That leaves us just one passenger, 20-year-old Trevor Bogart.

Trevor, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was flung from the Ford Focus, crashing through the

rear window and landing 40 feet from the wreckage.

Trevor was also life-flighted to St. Louis Mercy Hospital.
