But if they had immediately offered him $100, he would have wanted $120,000.

So they lowballed him.

It made it sound like he got the extra $20 million guaranteed and got him up to $100,000,

which apparently was the magic number for them.

I think it's about as good as they could have done to get him signed.

He can make $100 million being Byron Bucsden.
