I think one key thing here is that teams are motivated and the agents and players are as well to get these deals done before that potential transaction freeze on the evening of December 1st. And of course, no one really knows what would be waiting on the other side of that deadline. What we know is that for now, the MLBPA and the players in baseball are the only group of players in North American pro sports who have no salary cap on their salaries here in professional baseball.
