Welcome to the Barnyard with Steve Robertson as always. I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here on the Monday edition of the yard, the snow day edition of the yard. It's been a wild day here in Stargville. You know, we knew this day was coming. We thought that we were going to have some snow. We had probably more than they originally forecast. And there is still some snow on the ground, even though we've had some rain that has come

through here in the afternoon hours it has melted some of it away but it's been a fun day for the

children of Stargville first day of classes at mississippi state and we've got some new bulldogs on

campus we'll talk some about that later in the show but i hope it's been a safe and fun day for you

if you've been out there and kind of dealing with this you know winter weather that is

kind of foreign to us and I know listen I get it these northerners always laugh at us

but we don't know how to drive and how to act in the snow and you're right because we

get it about once every five years and And so we're going to enjoy it.

You know, it's just one of those crazy things that happens down here.

And it's like a state holiday in many respects.

So don't laugh at us.

But, you know, if you laugh, it's fine.

We don't really care.

But it's been a great day.

And a lot of people

around here posting their snow pictures on facebook and it is a bit of a novelty thing gets old after a while

but uh you know i did the same thing i saw some great scenes this morning like a winter wonderland

out here on the back 40 and so i took a picture and posted it on Facebook got out there and

played with my dog some and they enjoyed kind of running around but we'll enjoy while we

have it I know when I was a kid I mean we never saw snow and I was I was listen I was the

product of a very sheltered upbringing my mom was one of those kind of people it felt like if

you went outside with your socks on you'd catch a cold that sort of stuff and so
