Welcome to our Rosary meditation. I'm at Savior of the World Pastoral Center. We're with about

130 people for the spiritual mentoring program this week with the students and the staff going

deeper in prayer and learning how to be spiritual mentors and we are gathered for

the rosary so let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Let's call the mind all those we've promised to pray for.

We need to be aware of reality, aware of the trends going on so that we understand the mission

that God has given us. The biggest trend we need to pay attention to is the fact that

Baptisms are down by 50% in America.

Wedding's down 66%

Ordinations down by 50%

Mass attendance has gone from

1970. It's dropped from 55% down to 17%.

50% of young people, those 30 years old and under, consider themselves nuns, no religious affiliation.

This is a big problem.

We all face it on our own lives, having our own children and family members and friends will fall away from the church and our heart aches for them. This is a big problem, but it has a small

solution. God comes to people through people and he wants to bring them to himself through you.

Our father who art in heaven, hallow it be your name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us to stay our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses

as we forgive those who trespass against us

and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
