In the interview, Keith was explaining how most of the time, the audience just wants to get straight to the flash and be wowed, as much as to say, show us the glitz and the fanfare.

Come on, do something really cool.

While Keith was obviously talking about music, I can't help but think how his words fit in every corner of our lives.

Missing it while waiting for something to happen.

Driver's license? Check. Graduation? Check.

College? If that's your thing, check.

Career, pets, family, kids, grandkids, you have an endless amount of boxes to choose from if you so desire.

Our attention is so often dialed in on the happened that we miss the happening altogether.

We plan our lives in advance, thinking about what comes next,

never mind the right now, the present moment.

We want the next moment to hurry, so we can move on to the next,

and the next and the next and so on and so forth.

But let me plant a thought, if I may.

The big moments in life, they don't make you who you are. It's the seemingly insignificant ones
