On North Main Street a checkbook and cash were stolen from a woman's purse.

A large brown dog and a pug were running loose on Merchant Street.

Someone drove off with a gas pump nozzle still attached on South Main Street.

May 7.

items were stolen from a truck on Campbell Place. A large hole was in the roadway on 2nd Street.

Kids input traffic cones in the roadway and were racing remote control cars on Brook Street.

People were living under the bridge on Granite Street.

May 8.

Drunk was falling out of the bed of an older black truck driving on Summer Street.

On Seminary Street, a man was driving around soliciting sex.

Someone stole a woman's iPhone on South Main Street

and was sending her messages and video from the phone, but refused to return it. That was Larry Masett. We'll hear part two of the Berry Police Log after our interview. Let's start by stating the obvious. Central Vermont singer Miriam Bernardo is a beautiful woman.

Not just the pretty kind, certainly not the self-conscious kind of beautiful. Miriam's good looks have more to do with a generosity of spirit, something

that starts under the skin, and when she sings, she sings with a kind of rawness that can make you cry or blush or hold your breath.

She's a natural.

In this hour I talk with Miriam about her life and her music and we'll listen to a
