That's where a female stingray named Charlotte finds herself pregnant with as many as four

pups despite having no male stingray companions within her tank.

Speaking to the AP last week, Brenda Raymer, executive director of the aquarium

and shark lab on Main Street in downtown Hendersonville, said, quote, here's our girl saying,

hey, happy Valentine's Day, let's have some pups, end quote. The small aquarium is run by Raymer's

educational nonprofit, team Echo, which encourages local school children and others

to take an interest in science.
