Welcome to the first segment in a miniseries on the very much-maligned Queen Mary I of England. Thanks to PhD candidate Johanna Strong for orchestrating this entire series by teaming up with some of the leading researchers in the field. In this episode, our guest is Melita Thomas of Tudor Times. Melita is also a PhD student and will give us fantastic insight into Mary's networks and what that meant for her as a woman.

1:36.9 | But then I sort of branched out and I read the wonderful trilogy by Hilda Lewis about Mary, |
