So if you want to know what an individual can do to pursue racial justice, there's actually a whole book about it, how to fight racism, but here's a

place to start. One of the things I say in the book is racial justice requires scheduling.

Put it on your calendar.

If you want to attend a march, if you want to attend a rally, if you want to pass out flyers, if you want to register for something,

that's all going to take time.

And what you put on the calendar in some sense indicates your

priorities but I'll get even more practical than that. Block out 30 to 45 minutes

to just brainstorm, to just dream. How would you like to get involved in

racial justice? What are the kinds of actions you would like to take? What are you

concerned about in particular when it comes to racial justice. Write all of that down.

Make it fun, make it meditative, go for a walk and do a voice memo or sit outside and write in a

journal, but just start with this prophetic imagination.

Then your next calendar appointment, you can whittle that list down,

you can prioritize those actions that you dreamt of and then that third meeting

that you schedule with yourself you can actually implement something that you

thought about so first of all make time for racial justice.
