I am chilling with Pete, and we have it upon our hearts to encourage you guys and do kind of a mini recording just for digesting some material that we believe is

helpful and necessary for the Christian mindset or should I say those who follow the way.

So Pete, thanks for having me for a little micro recording.

Yeah, Rod. I'm glad we're finally doing this. This idea that we're going to talk about came to me back in late May.

I think it was around that time I was going through all 24 episodes,

which, by the way, you guys can still find of Chuck Mizzler's Revelation series.

It's over 30 hours of content, and I'm kind of

fortunate enough to have a job where I can actually listen to that stuff while I do my work,

so I was able to get through it in a couple weeks. And one of the things that Chuck said,

which really stood out as a new idea, is when you look at the commandments and the one

that says, you shall not take the name of the Lord in vain. And most Christians today would

emphatically say, oh, I know what that means. You know, we're not supposed to just say, oh, my GOD, or, you know, say Jesus Christ as a cuss word like we hear in movies and from, you know, maybe people we work with or our friends even.

Or maybe some of us said those words in times past, right?

But, you know, okay, I probably should stop doing that.

Yeah, I'm taking the name of the Lord in vain. And Chuck had this idea, or at least this thought

that maybe that's not what it means. Maybe it has to do more with whose banner you're holding,

whose team are you on?

And are you, you know, if you're wearing the jersey of God, right?

That's taking his name.

And, but if your life doesn't measure up and you're just flippant about taking his name, it's kind of the same thing as using his
