Hello, friends. I have been thinking a lot about the power of narrowing the scope of

focus within typical seasons of life. For example, childhood, young adulthood, midlife,

to seasons within seasons, perhaps even referring to some of these periods of time as

micro seasons. If you have been with me for a while, you will know I am passionate about the power

of micro as a way to find agency and joy in life. The reality is perception of time can feel

out of joint with the mechanics of the actual clock and

calendar. And I think this can be confusing and maybe even debilitating at times, which is why I feel

that reframing our scope of awareness around time can be super powerful. Today I want to talk about

five reasons why I feel this is helpful. The first is the finish

line of an intense period feels within reach. Earlier this year, we reached a point where

Laurel and Violet both, on the same weekend even, completed experiences that required intense

energy investment over many months, about six months for Laurel and three months for

Violet. The final runway into that weekend was a lot. And as I sat back and exhaled on that

Sunday morning following, realizing we did it. I was reminded of the power of thinking about time
