0:10.8	we are throwing it back to the episode I recorded with the brilliant Mindy Kaling just over two years ago.
0:18.6	Mindy and I spoke in June of 2019, just as her movie late night, co-starring
0:23.3	the great Emma Thompson, was hitting theaters. This was back in the days when we were doing
0:27.9	all of these interviews in studio, and I can confirm that Mindy was the first and only guest
0:34.2	to arrive with a full-on entourage, including hair and makeup people.
0:38.4	But once we sat down in the booth and started talking, she really revealed more about herself than I expected,
0:44.3	including how her early days at the office influenced the complicated gender politics of her new movie,
0:50.3	and why she was forced to turn down her dream job at Saturday Night Live.
0:55.5	I also asked Mindy a question about Zanzari that I worried might upset her in some way.
