Anyway, today we're going to be looking at Nehemiah Chapter 9 verses 16 through 17

as we continue our mindset study.

Now that's a phrase that we hear in our day quite a bit, being mindful, meaning to be in the moment,

but that's not exactly what Nehemiah has in mind when he mentions this.

Let's read it in Nehemiah 9, 16 through 17.

It says, but they and our fathers acted presumptuously

and stiffened their neck and did not obey your commitments.

So this is Nehemiah speaking to God.

He says, they refused to obey and were not mindful of the wonders that you performed among them.

But they stiffened their neck and appointed a leader to return to their slavery in Egypt.

Now Nehemiah is going all the way back to the Book of Exodus when Moses led the people out of their slavery in

Egypt and when they were out in the wilderness many of the people became stubborn
