Now administering third eye drops. We talk all the time about awakenings because there's really nothing more ontologically succulent

than these moments, these moments of initiation, of becoming, of perceptive inversion, if you

will, or a lens that makes existence seem novel all over again.

So I am always on the hunt for these catalyzing moments.

But what specifically is a moment of awakening? Is it just some

neurochemically

Mediated moment of novelty or is something external truly gracing and staining an individual

with divine transcendence and inspiration forever more or a combination of the two.

And of course I ask this somewhat rhetorically

because we can't know the content of an individual's metaphysical or any subjective experience

for that matter.

But speaking of subjective moments of transformation, they come with all sorts of different interpretations.

Sometimes they make you into a pious person, sometimes into a staunch atheist.

They seem on opposite ends of the spectrum, obviously,

but oftentimes they are talked about in the same way,

as if an illusory veil were lifted from the,

let's stick with calling them the quote unquote initiates worldview.

So my point is the circumstances are not the same.

The interpretation is not the same. The commonality is change. Like for

example if you listen to a former devout Christian biblical literalist talk about the moment that they left their faith behind.

It sounds almost the same as someone who became a born-again Christian.
