I think they're always accessible if your perception is tuned for them.

And I can attest to that actually because I just lost a cat this weekend something that is

objectively painful and horrible as anyone who's ever lost a pet knows.

But even there, even there. I felt hints of gratitude and wonder because it felt like during every moment of the crisis that eventually led to her death, I was oscillating between

panic and gratitude.

Like, the panic is obvious, but the gratitude did peak at times.

There were these reassuring feelings, these thoughts of,

thank God I can do something for her.

Thank God there's a place that I can go for this.

Thank God we live in a time where I can love this creature right

until the very end of her life and let her go humanely and peacefully and be there with her.
