I think that really is an interesting thought experiment,

that we are all actors in a multi-level constantly unfolding production of sorts, productions of nature, productions of culture, family, psychology, because we absolutely are in a way.

And I also think that considering those performances is actually a very useful mindfulness

technique because it allows us to get outside of ourselves and take a good look at those roles that we are forced to play,

that we often forget we're even playing. Like, if I can get behind my Michaelness and say, you know what, that's a game worth playing. That's a game worth

delivery on or perform somewhat differently. And of course that way of thinking,

that sort of reflection only goes so far

because there are some performances

so embedded in our egos and the human experience at large

that there's no way we're ever going to wriggle out of them in any meaningful way.

It's like trying to imagine something in poly, like being a fourth dimensional being that can see all of space and time at once.

Our brains and bodies just aren't built for it. But that aside, I really think there is some utility there. And don't think I guess I could see how this

sort of gamification or thinking of life as a series of performances
