| 0:37.0 | I can assure you that inflation is a very real thing |
| 0:40.0 | even though it hasn't been seen in decades. |
| 0:42.0 | My recollection of this period is that inflation can be very disruptive, even destructive to both businesses and households. |
| 0:49.0 | Gas lines, food shortages, and other rationings are the most vivid images of that period. |
| 0:54.0 | However, it was the mindset that sticks with me more than anything else. |
| 0:57.3 | The expectation that prices would always be higher in the future and may be significantly higher |

| 1:03.0 | discomfort about whether we would be able to afford the most basic |
| 1:05.8 | items of life shelter, transportation, and food. |
| 1:09.4 | That mindset is what drives the vicious circle of higher prices. |

| 1:17.1 | Central Banks are trying so hard to get higher inflation. |
| 1:20.4 | Aren't stable prices a better thing for most people and companies trying to plan for the future? |
