I want to concentrate on the Giants with you more than anything else because there's a lot there. Tell me what you think. My expectations of the Giants are probably a little bit loftier than most. I've heard all the banter this preseason. I know a lot of people say the over-under for wins for them is six. If that's the case, I take the overall day long. I think when I look at this team in contrast to what I saw

1:07.3

last year, they are so much more competent offensively. They are so much more

1:12.3

competent up front. With Kevin Zitler at right guard, it's a huge upgrade. They can finally

1:18.5

pass block on the right side. Oh, he's been the best pass blocking guard in the NFL for two years.

1:22.7

And they haven't been able to pass block for years on the right side. No, the right guard

1:27.4

and the left tackle with Eric Flowers for four years was a total train wreck. So that's big. He's also, he's a pretty stout guy in the run game, but he's also a culture guy. He's got that nasty, you want to finish guy mentality. He's not just trying to block guys. I mean, he's trying to punish guys. And I like Mike Remmer's at right tackled. I agree. I agree with the offensive line 100%, but I also think people are going to walk up and make it a heavy box because they're going to say the Giants don't have the wide receivers. Let's walk up. Let's take Barclay away and Lake Eli throw the ball. Well, in order for them to have a huge box and bring the eighth guy in there, you've got to go too tight-in formations. And I don't know that Pat Schumer is going to do that. You know, I think he's going to want to spread people out, and everybody's doing it now. College football is doing it now. The NFL is doing it. Get everybody in space. There's a lot more running room. So I think you look at Sequin, the last time they played the Dallas Cowboys down in Dallas last year in week two, he had 14 catches. They threw the ball to him 16 times. So that's going to be more of the same. I think you get Seekwan in space. There's no linebacker that can tackle that guy. Oh, I totally agree. And Ingram's going to be huge, too.

2:35.6

But if you play Ingram and then a bunch of White House, you know, you're going to wonder about them at the point of attack a little bit, aren't you? And also, they don't have that many whiteouts right now to Giants. Well, yeah, with Golden Tapien suspended, Sterling Shepard will get a lot of the work in the slot, and he's been a pretty darn good receiver in the slot.

2:52.5

I think the key With this offense is a guy who nobody really talks about in Red Ellison. Now, he's not going to catch 100, you know, 100 yards in passing, but at the point of attack, he has been phenomenal in what I've seen in the preseason. So that, the extension of the run game has always been the tight end. So you're going to be treating, are you going to be then treating England like he's a wide receiver rather than as a tight end? Yeah, I think what you're going to see a lot more of is kind of that Trips right formation. You've got three riders here to the right, and you split Evan Ingram out to the left, and you hope to get a favorable matchup one-on-on-one with a linebacker or safety.

3:26.3

And then the other thing you do is you put Sequin Barclay off set to the left side and that

3:30.7

basically declares to the defense who's going to cover Seq Juan.

3:33.9

Either you're rolling a safety down, which shows its hand, or you've got a linebacker.

3:38.1

The one thing that the Cowboys did last year a number of times, if you don't have a linebacker, they can cover a running back in the passing game, and teams did this against Marshall Falk. You know, when you struggle with linebackers in coverage, you blitz them, and you hope that now the running back has to stay in to protect. The Giants went empty protection and actually released Saquan in that, and Eli just said, look, I'll throw hot all day long to Sequin in space. That's what I saw a lot of. So if the Cowboys do that again, if that's the same game playing defensively, expect to see a lot of those hot throws to Saquan. And I think that can work, and I think I agree with you. I would talk with Sean Howard. I think the offense is going to be improved because I think the offense line finally has real for the first time in many years. I'm going to think that Nate's going to be better at the left tackle this year than he was last year. Hernandez is a year older. Halapio is healthy. So I give you all that. I agree about the right side. and I think they're going to be pretty good on offense. I agree. The question I have is,

4:34.8

is, So I give you all that. I agree about the right side, and I think they're going to be pretty good on offense.
