Hey guys, Guy here. Welcome to the show. A week ago, I was in the room down at Levi Stadium when

new defensive coordinator Rahim Morris and 49ers offensive coordinator Clay Kubiak talked the media.

And a lot of times these press conferences, especially in May, you're like, what are we going to get out of

this? But they both made like quick little offhand comments because they were both

asked about Mike Evans that made it seem like the Niners are going to try and use Mike Evans

differently. Well, what does that mean exactly? I mean, Kubiak said, we're going to use them the way

he's been used his whole career and hopefully get a few more things out of him along the way.

So I turned to a man who watches film with the best of them.

I read him, you read him. Ted Wynn, the senior writer for the athletic NFL, post breakdowns

on his YouTube channel. Also does a Raider pod, which we could get into, on a separate YouTube

channel, the Just Win podcast, and is part of the famed UC Davis football

mafia with Chris Peterson and Nick Allioti and Dan Hawkins and former 49.

I don't know if you know this one, Ted, former 49ers quarterback of the 80s, Mike Maroski.

I did not know about that one, but I'm glad that you group me in with all those guys.

Mike Evans, when you hear Kubiak and Rahim talk and make comments about what could he do

differently?

Like, what do you think of?

What does that mean to you?

The only thing I could really think of is he's going to be used in a slot a lot more than he has in the past.

I think of Larry Fitzgerald, who was mostly an outside receiver all his career,

you know, a bigger guy too, that wins jumpball type of situations, probably a little bit more of a jump ball guy than Mike Evans, but he

really had a resurgent end of his career because he moved into the slot with Arizona.
