It's Wednesday, November 10th, at least I think it's still Wednesday, whatever day of the

week it is, about 9 a.m. we've obviously been up all night dealing with the midterms.

And I'll go ahead and quote Lindsey Graham, who was on our air last night when he said

it is definitely not a Republican wave, I think that is quite the understatement.

So let's digest it all, let's figure out everything we think we learned so far last night

and to give you a little hint of where we think things are going with the vote count.

Well, Mark, I'll just let's start with our lead.

We asked this question before the midterms, what's the stronger force in American politics,

the fundamentals of this sort of political environment, presidential job or approval

rating in the mid 40s, dissatisfaction with the economy or polarization, particularly

in the Trump era.

And boy did we get a reminder of the power of polarization and the sort of the negative

power of Donald Trump on the democratic base.

Yeah, Chuck, I've always been a big fundamental sky, this cycle and impassimate term environments.

And when you end up looking at this hotelative, our poll, there were a lot of pieces of evidence.

This was going to be a big Republican night with President Biden's job rating, the 81%

or dissatisfied with the state of the economy, the 72% who think the country has been in

the wrong direction.
