Last week, President Trump says he was going to release a damning report this week about the Bureau of Labor

Statistics and how they may have been manipulating data. Well, the numbers are here. The U.S. economy

added nearly a million fewer jobs in the year through March of 2025 than previously

reported.

This according to preliminary figures released this afternoon by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The revision?

Just jobs growth during that period was running at roughly half the pace initially believed.

Well, I'm not alleging that I'm just merely thinking about why it could be off by so much.

The BLS said payrolls will likely be revised down by about 911,000 jobs or 0.6%.

That reduces total employment gains for the 12 months ending in March to about 850,000 compared to about $1.8 million that was originally reported.

On a seasonally adjusted average, monthly job growth dropped from $147,000 to just over $70,000.

Now, the downward adjustment hits nearly every industry in most states.

Wholesale and retail trade accounted for the largest share of shortfall,
