This is the Friends of History Debating Society. I'm John Besser with Thaddeus McCotter, writing an American greatness, recovering politician, a very good Republican politician, Wayne County, Lamonia. I read from the Dispatch. It's just been over a month since a judge

confirmed that Michigan Republican Party's decision to oust its controversial chair, Christina Karamo and replace her with former

Representative Pete Hoekstra. So why do Karamo or allies of hers still control

some of the Michigan GOP's digital assets.

Committee members for the State Party voted in January to remove Karama over concerns about

her stewardship of party funds. The Republican National Committee later approved her removal

in the selection of Hoekstra, who served eight terms in the House of Representatives, later

as Ambassador to the Netherlands as the new chair.

Then came the February ruling from Judge Joseph Rossi, which ordered Karama to relinquish

control the State Party's bank accounts and postal boxes and deceased presenting herself

as chair of the party.

I'll stop there if that is because I'm catching up to this story.

Pete Hoekster is very well thought of. I remember you speaking

well of him when you were in Congress together. I don't know anything about Christina

Karamo except for the fact this looks like an

unfortunate turn does this have an effect on the ability of the party to

function for the general election John, it's not helpful.

I think we can establish that.

But when you look at it, Pete Hoekstra's very conservative individually comes out of West Michigan in the Holland area.

He was elected, he defeated, and he was a businessman who defeated an incumbent on a Republican

member of Congress by working in the district. He served his time. He was

eventually appointed by Donald, served as chair of the House Intelligence Committee.
