I am Charles Robinson, senior NFL writer for Yahoo Sports.

I just want to let you guys know what's on the show today.

We bring in Michael Smith, a long time friend of mine

who has been hired by Amazon to be a part of their Thursday night football crew.

It's going to be a little bit of a different talk with Mike, a little bit about his career.

If you followed along with Mike, obviously a long time star at ESPN,

had numbers never lie, rolled that into the sports center six spot.

And then kind of took a left turn out of ESPN.

And after what's basically been a four year hiatus, Mike's going to come back to the NFL world.

So I wanted to get Mike on just have a chance to talk, you know,

in a little more personal way about his journey back into covering the NFL.

And I'm actually really excited for fans because I think Mike's going to be a great analyst

and somebody whose work everybody really enjoys.

Mike and I actually, we talked a little bit about the Thursday night football lineup

that he's going to be a part of.

Obviously the great package that Amazon's going to have.

And then it's interesting.

Mike and I actually overlapped a little bit with the Panthers.
