Hi, everybody. Welcome to this edition of Just Getting Started. I am Susie Schuster and

today I have a great treat. I have Michael Irvin, the playmaker, the Hall of Famer, and

I'm lucky to say a friend of mine for many decades. He and I met years ago at Fox Sports

Net when I was a reporter and he'd come over to get his career going. And I got to tell

you he was kind, considerate, nothing like the guy that I had thought I had known working

in sports television. I love this guy so much that I can tell you that he is my child's

godfather. Yes, Taylor, maddenly, eyes in my daughter. Her godfather is Michael Irvin. Can

you imagine how good that's going to be when she goes on dates later? It says you better

be nice to me or else I'll stick my godfather after you. Anyway, he is one of Rich's closest

friends, obviously, through NFL Network, but I am claiming the steak. I knew him first.

As promised, the playmaker Michael Irvin joins us here on Just Getting Started. Michael,

before we start this, take us a little tour behind us. You've got some really pretty,

pretty shiny hardware behind you. So what do you have behind you? Let's hear about it.

Quite a few things. This house built 20 years ago. I know everybody is into that modern

thing where you don't have much and the walls are all clean. I'm changing some of the

house to that. But I haven't had time. I've been working the last 20 years since I built

this house. But everything behind me, you got Super Bowl trophy, you got National Championship

trophy behind me. Why are receivers of the year to John Mackie award trophies? And even

in the back here, you know, so quite a few things. And then of course pictures and everything

and even in some corners, some of the awards that my sons have won. And literally, and

things like that. When my kid catches Michael called more passes than any player in a high

school, he can Texas high school history against IMG. So you get him on the plaque on the
