Summary

The Mexican drug cartels aren't being hindered, in fact, they are 'flourishing under Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, and presenting a direct threat to the national security of the United States, former and current officials with the DEA, Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

For the DEA it is a battle that has raged since the DEA was founded in 1973. The war was in full swing by 1985 when undercover DEA Agent Enrique "Kiki" Camarena, was brutaly tortured and murdered by "El Padrino," the co-founder of the of the once powerful Guadalajara drug cartel.

Hi everyone. Thanks for coming back to the Sarah Carter show. I'm so happy to have you with me today. It's always great. It's always great to be with you. Always great to be able to reach out and talk to you and tell you what's going on here in Washington, DC. This crazy land of the swamp.

Today I have a special podcast because I'm focusing once again on the designation of the Mexican drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations. For those of you that follow me, you know how important this is to me. It is a huge issue in my life. It should be a huge issue in all of our lives.

Especially if you have children or loved ones, you know, the impact of narcotics on our country and the dangerous escalation in the drug crisis and the contraband that these drug cartels are able to move into the United States like fentanyl is so important. The reason I'm bringing this up is because President Trump is now on board. We know this because he told Bill O'Reilly in an interview that he is going to designate the Mexican drug cartels foreign terrorist organizations.

Thank you, Mr. President. This is huge and it's significant and it's actually going to hold people accountable. It's going to hold those accountable in Washington. And this is so important because so many people aren't doing their jobs.

And this is something that I believe wholeheartedly will change the game will change the playing field forever and the drug cartels boy, I hope you're running scared.

I hope you're scared to death about what's going to happen here because we're just not going to take it anymore. You're just not going to steal our children. You're not going to take away our lives.

It's not going to be that easy. We're just not going to allow it to be that easy. We're going to take our own responsibility on our side and we're going to make changes and guess what we're coming after you.

So I don't know if the drug cartels are out there listening, but anybody from Sinaloa, Los Zetas, Nuevo Henet, Sion, Beltran, Leyva or any of the other sidekicks that are going to be designated foreign terrorist organizations.

We're going to have with us today, Derek Maltz. He's the former director of the special operations division with the DEA. That's the Drug Enforcement Agency true heroes in this battle against drugs and the drug cartels.

So many times they have put their lives on the line. They've lost agents in this war. And I believe it's a war against terrorism. These organizations, these what first started as gangs developed into these narco.

Narcos are these cartels. And now they've evolved into terrorist organizations. And I'll explain why with Derek later on. These are political narco states. When we look at Mexico, that is what is happening there. These cartels have amassed hundreds of billions of dollars.

Hundreds of billions of dollars have resources far beyond our own law enforcement. And they are able to utilize those resources to operate against us. This isn't about a small gang, folks. This isn't about a gang down in ball to more gang in Chicago. That's bad enough. Those those gangs, those local gangs are being controlled by these cartels.

These are narco states. These people have an according to sources that I've spoken to in the defense intelligence agency as well as so calm. This is far beyond anything they've ever seen. There are hundreds of thousands of foot soldiers. And let me explain what that means. This isn't about just an army that these cartels amass. You know, marching down a street. This is like an insurgency.

They pay off people inside the government. They pay off people in law enforcement inside the Mexican military inside the Colombian law enforcement agencies. Guatemala Honduras, El Salvador.

This has gotten so far out of hand. And guess what they're doing now. They're producing their own fentanyl.

Fentanyl is a chemical agent that is considered a weapon of mass destruction. If if you touch it in its purest form, if it is released in its purest state, it's used in anesthesia anesthesiologist knew about fentanyl all the time.

But now the Mexican drug cartels and let's not forget the Chinese that were importing it into the United States are using it to enhance the addiction to heroin and to other drugs because what a lot of our children are just dropping dead on this.

And our law enforcement agents are having to go out and when they when they find fentanyl being trafficked into the United States at contraband.
