Monday, Monday, Monday, busy Monday. Met season ended. Yankees. Postseason will begin now coming up in a couple of days against the Red Sox. Lots to do on this Monday, Al. Yeah, the Mets season. I mean, they were really annoying this year. Yeah, they were bad. The Mets. They're just so inconsistent. You had your final game. The Brewers actually had nothing to play for. And beat the Reds. Beat the Reds. And the Mets score zero runs. You show up with zero runs on your final game. Yes. I know Alonzo had the one hard hit ball at the bases loaded, but like that was it. Yeah. And I mean, I was set, like driving home from the Giants game, I'm listening to Howie on Met's Odyssey Radio. He sounded so sad like when Lindorre hit the double play.

But, you know, this is, this to me is much different than, you know, 20 years ago, the 7 and 17 and all that.

Because if you watch this team, this to me was, I remember in this summer in August, I think it was with Willie, and Fleigelman was producing.

I think it was Mike that asked him, like, go around the room, do you think they're going to make the playoffs?

I was like, I think no.

I think it's more likely they don't because they were playing garbage baseball at that point for two months.

And it continued into September. And when you think about a team that was 21 games over 500 and finishes four games over,

that means they were 17 games under.

That is the bottom 10% of the league in terms of how badly they played for not two weeks, not two months, for four months.

So to me, you know, everyone can talk about what a call.

It is a colossal disappointment of a season given the expectations for sure.

But this isn't like one of these epic, no, if you watched, they've been bad.

They don't deserve to be in the playoffs.

Yeah, and again, like if you look at this team offensively on paper,

on paper they look like a World Series champion.

Yeah, you got two players in the 30, 30, 30 club.

You had Alonzo, Soto, the amount of RBIs they had,

and then they have games where they just don't score.
