You know, it's, we knew it was going to be tricky with him because he's got a year left on his contract.

There may be an opt out there right after.

So it's, it was going to be tough.

It's not like he's a GM, meaning that he could interview for a president of baseball

operations job. It would be a lateral

move, technically speaking. So, you know, a lot of Mets fans were hoping for one of the big three, Jerry,

whether it was Theo Epstein, whether it was David Stearns, or whether it was Billy Bean.

Our colleague, Andy Martino, is reporting that Bean is looking unlikely at this point.
