And boy, what a week it was.

The Mets finished a successful road trip and put themselves right in the thick of this wildcard race.

Just when we thought they were out, Joe, they pull us right back in.

I was never out.

But if you went on, if you went on Metz Twitter, a lot of people were out after that

Corbyn Carroll, Grand Slam off of Edwin Diaz in Arizona.

But hey, that's the way you handle the end of a road trip.

I mean, it could have been two sweeps, a sweep of Arizona and a sweep of

Chicago, but we don't live in that world. We live in reality, which is they took two out of three from a team,

two spots ahead of them in the wild card standings. And as we talked about and have talked about on

this show for well over a month, the Mets routinely found

ways this year to not take care of business against the teams they were supposed to.
