Welcome to another episode of the Metspot. I'm your host, Connor Rogers,

joined as always by my co-host, Joe DeMayo, and you heard it. The National League East is a tight one

right now, as the Mets and the Braves are neck and neck to see who will close this thing out in

September. And it might go right down to the wire when they meet each other

for three games towards the end of the month. Joe, let's bring you in here. I know there's a lot of

panic city going on right now. You and I are usually a little bit more tempered, a little bit more

positive, but we're going to have some of the hard conversations today. Also look ahead to some of the reinforcements so how are you doing my friend i'm doing all right and uh you

you know me and people who listen this probably know me and you know i'm uh by nature a glass

half full kind of guy and i'm feeling i would say somewhat uneasy right now Atlanta's just

playing absurd baseball right now.

It's not like the Mets are necessarily, like, crumbling.

It's Atlanta's on absolute fire, and, you know, the Mets are coming off a rough weekend,

obviously, against the Nationals where the Batch just simply didn't show up at all.
