As you mentioned, today is January 4th, so we are well within the Happy New Year zone, but that is an

eternal debate.

What is the Happy New Year cutoff?

If you see somebody in late January for the first time can you say happy new year then or is there a certain date where the happy new year thing is gone by the wayside?

I don't look at it as a date I look at it much more relative to the person that I am seeing in that if I have not seen them in the new year or conversed or texted or any type of interaction with them,

then I think it's completely appropriate for you

to wish them a happy new year

because it's the first time that you are seeing.

Now, you get into the February's, whatever Now we are notorious my family notorious for

when we do actually do our holiday or Christmas card or anything like that it ends up

being in the February and that's a whole
