So I went full time in September of 2016.

Austin, my co-founder went full time in early 2017.

So it's been just over four years.

And over the last four years what has felt like 40 years for

anyone who works in the startup world you can attest that you know a startup year is like a

dog year what I have found is that throughout this journey of entrepreneurship,

there are moments in time where you as a founder,

as a professional, as an entrepreneur,

need to reset mentally and recalibrate what value, what productivity, and what

self-worth looks like for you in your business.

So the first time this happened for me was probably in mid-2017,

when we started hiring our first employees at Morning Brew,

and my definition of productivity had to evolve from doing to guiding others and partially doing.

So at that period of time I was you know I had started just being focused on like

sales and editorial actually doing the things putting the content out

selling the ad deals with ad partners.
