Our next topic for the mental health series is Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). In the US the disorder costs about 200 billion dollars annually. Everything from medical costs to lost days at work.
MDD is characterized by persistent and severe depressive symptoms that impact one's ability to function in their daily life. Which has to be present for at least two weeks.
