Hi guys, so for this week's For The Good of the Order, I'm thinking about this new habit

of mind that I've been exploring as I cruise around New York City.

One of the things that life here offers you is the complete pageant of humanity on a daily

basis.

Like, if I go for a walk for an hour or two, I'm going to see hundreds of people close up.

And those hundreds of people are all in the middle of their own epic journeys close

up.

And when I'm feeling very open, when my eyes are up, I do have these cool stretches of

wondering.

And as you know, I believe wonder always rewards.

I think it's worth our time to think hard and differently about the people we see,

the people we pass, the people who, on a lesser day, we might think, what are they doing

with their lives, the skateboarders and guys and muscle tees, the man covered in tattoos

are shrouded in the white coat of the medical profession.

Even the people on the cover of the magazines have stories, things they've survived, goals

they can't meet, mothers they don't understand.
