I am out in Bozeman now, and we have this great workout facility called The Ridge, and I'm

a person who loves a class.

I like to be told what to do, rather than rely on my willpower, which seems to be fading

ever more with each passing year.

So here's a piece about being a little more conscientious about my thoughts as I engage

in the group exercise game.

It had been a good 10 years since someone told me to grapevine left.

In fact, the last time I was barked at to do a triple knee repeater or around the world,

the only woman in America who had a headset mic was Madonna.

I don't exercise often, and when I do, I try not to sweat too much.

So recently, at the gym, when I saw on the group fitness schedule, the Tina's basic

step class was suitable for all levels I peaked in.

Just about everyone in there was 10 to 20 pounds overweight.

There were no fancy racer-back tanks or chafee-free lululemon pants.
