Hi guys, for this week's For The Good of the Order, I wanted to talk about mindfulness.

It's a super common term thrown around constantly.

I was keen on it as a concept from a distance, but I feel like I only just got it.

And maybe this isn't even technically what is meant by the professionals in the space

when they say mindfulness.

But for me, this has really been working, and so I wanted to give it to you because that's

exactly the purpose of For The Good of the Order is to give you something useful.

So a piece of the puzzle that I wasn't understanding is how the senses play into mindfulness.

And so when I am feeling elevated in one way or another, like I'm anxious or I'm super

frustrated with something, or I'm hurt, or I'm feeling despondent that I'm not getting

any traction on a given project.

I mean, these are all emotions that I'm having, like almost every single day of the week.

And so I needed as much as the next person.

Then what I've come to is that for me, the way to come down from that unproductive rattled

state that is taking myself and my circumstances and my work way too seriously, because honestly,

like what are these problems that are turning me inside out is to get in touch with my senses.
