sadness. Well welcome to this episode of the Hard Men Podcast. I am your host Eric Khan, and in today's

episode I want to talk about men as risk takers. That's right, why it is that I believe that men are hardwired to be those who take

bold and courageous risks and my argument today is very simple it's this men are

hardwired for courageous risk-taking.

They're made to risk life and limb to slay the dragon,

to get the girl and to defend their place and their home.

Men are made for glory, which comes to those who take bold action in the face of hazardous

conditions and insurmountable odds.

So in other words, men are made to boldly confront heretics

with intellectual prowess.

They're made to start businesses that define communities

and bring wealth to their people.

They're made to cross oceans to start new civilizations.

They're made to saddle up and ride out to meet the hordes of enemies marching on

their city gates. In turn this means men will need other tactical virtues, things like courage

in the face of fear and against great odds. They will need competence at dragon slaying and

girl getting as well as the ability to earn the respect and lead

other men in battle.

So we'll begin today with this simple concept that men are hardwired to be risk takers.
